MDR, MXDR, & IR

About the Episode

The cybersecurity industry is becoming rife with acronyms – EDR, SIEM, MDR, MSSP, XDR, and now there’s MXDR.

MXDR, otherwise known as Managed Extended Detection and Response, builds on MDR and XDR to deliver 24/7 threat detection, investigation, and response at scale. Simply put, MXDR offers the benefits of XDR without the need to manage the technology in-house.

As more security providers evolve their tools, it creates an increased burden for security leaders who have to manage all these tools effectively without having enough resources in-house. This has driven more security providers to provide Managed offerings – namely through MXDR.

Listen to the full Managing the Ecosystem with e3 episode to learn about Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR), and Incident Response (IR). Key discussion points include:

  • What MXDR is and the primary drivers of MXDR amongst organizations
  • The impacts of MXDR on the partner ecosystem and how channel partners can adapt
  • Security outcomes end users should expect from MXDR providers
  • How security buyers should evaluate MXDR solutions
