GoDaddy is Hacked (Again): What It Means for Customers

About the Episode

Since 2020, GoDaddy, a website hosting and Internet domain registrar company with 20M+ customers globally, has suffered three separate data breaches – allegedly by the same threat actor group.

These incidents are especially concerning for GoDaddy customers whose personal data may have been impacted by the data breaches. However, it’s likely that consumers who visit websites hosted on GoDaddy may also be impacted.

Moreover, since it’s likely that the same threat actor group is behind all three data breaches, they only serve as further proof of why organizations need complete visibility across their attack surface and 24/7 threat detection, investigation, and response.

Afterall, the effectiveness of your cyber defenses come down to the speed at which you can identify and contain a cyberattack.

In this podcast, Greg Crowley, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at eSentire, speaks to Heather Engel, Managing Partner at Strategic Cyber Partners and Guest Host at Cybercrime Magazine, about lessons learned from GoDaddy’s data breaches and their impact on customers hosting their websites with GoDaddy.
