Cambridge, ON – eSentire Inc., a leader in Active Threat Protection solutions and managed cybersecurity services, is awarded for its innovative work environment by being named one of Canada’s Top 100 Small & Medium employers.

eSentire Inc., runs its business with best in class tools, sound business protocols and highly intelligent people. Its customers rely on the company’s white glove service to protect billions of dollars and all of their sensitive and confidential data. The company has tripled in size in just a few short years and continues to grow – their biggest challenge is finding more talented people to join their rapidly expanding team.

“Our people represent a key differentiator for our business and are pivotal to our continued growth and success,” said J. Paul Haynes, eSentire CEO. “It’s an honour to be recognized as a top employer, which acknowledges the high energy environment we have created to retain, attract and train world class employees. We’re continuing to hire and currently have more than 20 open jobs on our website; this is an important opportunity for us to get the word out.”

Canada’s Top Small & Medium employers are evaluated on the same eight criteria as the larger Canada’s Top 100 Employers project: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. To determine eligibility, the Top 100 editors follow the SME definition used by Statistics Canada, limiting the competition to private-sector companies with under 500 employees.

“These employers are showing they can compete with larger companies when it comes to creating progressive workplace benefits and forward-thinking HR policies,” says Richard Yerema, Managing Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project at Mediacorp Canada Inc. “The competition provides us with an opportunity to write about some very dynamic and interesting employers – these small and medium employers (SMEs) are often the workplace innovators when it comes to trying-out new HR and recruitment strategies.”

eSentire, which recently expanded its Security Operations Centre and office space in Cambridge, Ontario is looking for strong technical talent to support its successful security as a service model.
