eSentire named to Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 for fourth consecutive year

Managed Detection and Response Company Attributes 349 Percent Revenue Growth to Increased Sales, Client Acquisition, and Customer Expansion While Driving MDR Evolution

CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO – November 15, 2018 – eSentire, Inc., the largest pure-play Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider, today announced it was named one of North America’s fastest growing technology companies in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ awards, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and energy tech companies in North America, for the fourth consecutive year. eSentire ranked #254, with 349 percent revenue growth from 2014 to 2017.

Additionally, eSentire was presented the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ Leadership award for its effective management and market attractiveness in a high-growth, competitive market. Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Leadership Award winners are selected by a judging panel based on four key criteria: competitive advantage; growth and market attractiveness; management effectiveness and organization; and financial performance. Leadership Award winners demonstrate innovation, leadership and dominate in their sector to join the ranks of other Canadian global leaders.

To qualify for the Leadership Award, candidates must be headquartered in Canada and devote a significant portion of their operating revenues to creating proprietary technology or intellectual property.

2018 Performance Highlights

Throughout 2018, eSentire saw strong growth across sales, client acquisition, and customer expansion, while continuing the evolution of its MDR platform by integrating security analyst expertise and new technology.

In February of this year, eSentire announced the appointment of former CEO and president of Terremark (a Verizon company) Kerry Bailey as CEO to lead eSentire into its next stage of growth. Additional executive leadership additions included Chris Gesell as CMO, James Yersh as CAO and Brett Davis as EVP of global sales.

In October, eSentire announced the acquisition of Seattle-based AI company Versive, Inc. The strategic move allows eSentire to continue evolving its MDR platform with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities that delivers the scalability, automation and speed that modern organizations demand, without sacrificing quality.

In tandem with the acquisition, eSentire announced senior leadership appointments of former Versive executives Dustin Rigg Hillard as CTO, Ashley Fidler as VP of product and Matthew Vanderzee as VP of engineering.
