We are thrilled to welcome Rahul Bakshi, as Chief Product Officer at eSentire, to lead our Product Management teams and execute on delivering 24/7 Managed Detection and Response for multi-cloud environments. Rahul’s addition to Team eSentire comes at the perfect time as we continue to advance our expertise across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud with unparalleled investigation and proactive threat response.

“I am very excited to be here and help eSentire continue to innovate in the world of security,” Rahul Bakshi, Chief Product Officer at eSentire, says. “Great companies are built because of great people and eSentire has a world-class leadership team that has established a strong culture focused on empowering and investing in our employees. So, the decision really came down to the team, the breadth of security expertise of Team eSentire, and the fact that we are building a better, more secure world for tomorrow’s cyber threats, whether they are on-premises, in the cloud, or hybrid.”

Rahul is a seasoned industry veteran with 20+ years of industry experience in SaaS, cloud computing, Managed Services, and enterprise software. Most recently, he was the Senior Vice President, Products at Securonix, where he launched new offerings in SOAR and XDR to broaden their total addressable market (TAM). Rahul has also held leadership positions at Alert Logic and SunGuard.

Rahul’s approach when it comes to cloud security services very much mirrors eSentire’s holistic focus that puts the customer’s business strategy at the forefront of their cloud adoption strategy. “I love how eSentire approaches multi-signal MDR and acknowledges that to us, a Risk is a Risk,” continues Bakshi. “Whether you’re operating on premises, in the cloud or in a hybrid environment, you can trust that eSentire is all-in to protect you. As your business strategy evolves and you continue to scale, you need a partner who can protect that ambition with prioritized and proactive threat response.”

With Rahul’s expert guidance, eSentire’s cloud services portfolio will be extending to include 24/7 multi-signal Managed Detection and Response across cloud workloads, containers, applications and Kubernetes. We will also be expanding our wide ecosystem of coverage within our Cloud Security Posture Management service – something Rahul believes should be foundational as part of every cybersecurity program.

“When you start to get into the business drivers that are taking you to the cloud, you need to start thinking about incorporating security back into that,” Rahul says. “And you need to start with the fundamentals - cloud security posture management. Do you know what is going on in your environment from a vulnerability perspective both on-premises and in the cloud? Do you know what is happening from a configurations perspective? Are you taking advantage of best practices to secure and lock down your platforms? These foundational security practices apply to all types of businesses that operate in the cloud, and you need to start there.”

For most organizations addressing cloud misconfigurations, cloud vulnerabilities and extending foundational security practices to the cloud requires a combination of Multi-Signal MDR for Cloud and Cloud Security Posture Management. These services provide comprehensive visibility and the ability to detect, prioritize and respond to threat anomalies in a way that:
