We are thrilled to join the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), a public-private cybersecurity initiative formed by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in 2021 to encourage communication and collaboration between security defenders worldwide.

This partnership is a natural extension of the critical work done by our Threat Response Unit (TRU), an industry-leading team of Elite Threat Hunters and researchers that’s dedicated to making organizations more resilient with proactive threat hunting, conducting original threat research, and building advanced threat detection models. By joining JCDC, we’re enhancing our ability to collect, analyze, and operationalize threat intelligence on a global scale for our customers—ensuring we stay ahead of evolving cyber threats.

“eSentire's collaboration with JCDC highlights our dedication to working with the global cybersecurity community to enhance cyber resilience and combine our strengths to address cybersecurity challenges." said Ryan Westman, Director of Threat Intelligence. "Being part of JCDC allows eSentire to strengthen our practices and products for our customers with up-to-date intelligence on emerging threats and vulnerabilities. We are excited to join this collaborative ecosystem, contribute our expertise to JCDC, and enhance our capacity to safeguard our customers."

Through the JCDC partnership, TRU will gain access to timely, actionable intelligence on vulnerabilities, exploits, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). This intelligence, combined with TRU’s ability to conduct global threat sweeps, hypothesis-driven threat hunts, and real-time investigations, enables us to rapidly deploy new detection rules and protections across our eSentire XDR Cloud Platform.

Last year alone, the TRU built over 520 new detectors and issued 44 security advisories, breaking news on critical cyber threats such as the malicious more_eggs malware, theft, and sale, of user credentials for Generative AI platforms, and the GootLoader malware.

By integrating JCDC’s intelligence into our threat response efforts, we will further strengthen our proactive defense strategies, allowing us to safeguard our clients from the most dangerous cyber threats.

As a JCDC member, we will continue to prioritize the development of cutting-edge detection rules, informed by the MITRE ATT&CK Framework® and continuously fine-tuned to reduce false positives. Together with JCDC, we are committed to staying ahead of adversaries and fortifying the cybersecurity landscape for all organizations.
